Hop-tu-Naa · three candles

Out with your moot, door to door.

It’s Hop-tu-Naa! Carry your turnip lantern down the street and sing at every door with a lit window. Watch out for Jinny the Witch, or she’ll blow your candle out.

Press Start, then sing at every door with a lit window.

KeyboardSpace / Enter Sing↓ / S HideP / Esc Pause

Press Sing (or tap the street) when you reach a glowing step. Hold Hide when Jinny the Witch is coming.

How to play

Sing in time, mind your candle.

  1. Walk the street. You walk on by yourself. Houses with lit windows are friendly doors; dark houses give nothing.
  2. Sing on the step. As you reach a lit door its step glows. Press Sing (Space) when your feet are on it: line up the little ring under your feet with the ring on the step. Right in the middle earns three treats, close earns two, and just in time earns one.
  3. Not too soon. In Standard, singing before you reach the step means that door stays shut.
  4. Hide from Jinny. When her shadow crosses the moon, hold Hide (the Down arrow) until she has flown over. You can’t sing while you hide.
  5. Three candles. Each time Jinny blows your candle out you light another. Lose all three and it’s home to bed. Otherwise the night lasts a minute and a half.

P or Escape pauses, and so does switching tab or scrolling away. Best scores stay on this device only, kept separately for each difficulty. Free to play: no account and no adverts.
