Ronaldsway Airport handled slightly fewer passengers in September than a year earlier, but its running total for 2026 remains ahead of last year, according to its latest monthly figures.

The airport said 50,205 people passed through the terminal last month, a fall of just over two per cent on September 2025, 3FM reported.

Across the year so far, Ronaldsway has handled 469,826 passengers, around half a per cent more than at the same point in 2025.

Freight and post were down more sharply in September. The figures show cargo fell by almost 10 per cent on the same month last year, while mail dropped by almost 19 per cent.

The passenger, cargo and mail numbers were published in the airport’s latest set of monthly statistics, which cover the first nine months of the year.
