Simcocks Advocates has kept its top-tier status in the Legal 500 for the eighteenth consecutive year, according to an announcement by the firm published by Finance Isle of Man on 13 October.

The independent legal directory published its 2027 rankings earlier in October. Simcocks’ private client department, led by chief executive Phil Games, is again ranked in Tier 1.

The firm’s commercial property, dispute resolution, corporate and commercial, and banking and finance departments were also highly ranked, according to the announcement.

Client testimonials quoted by the firm praised its knowledge of cross-border issues. One described Mr Games as “outstanding” and his team as “exceptional”.

Several individual lawyers were also recognised:

  • Directors Irini Newby and Phil Games remain in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame UK
  • Director Alex Spencer and advocates Chris Brooks and Kevin O’Loughlin are ranked as Leading Partners
  • Caroline Jennings is named a Next Generation Partner

Mr Games said: “It is an honour to be ranked in the Top Tier once again by this independent directory.”

He added that the directory bases its research on feedback from clients and business associates, as well as on the quality of the firm’s work.
