A charity that supports people with eating disorders on the island is setting up a group for the parents and carers of those affected.
Manx Eating Disorder Support will hold its first session for parents and carers later this month, according to Manx Radio.
The charity told the broadcaster that eating disorders are more widespread on the island than people tend to think. It said the conditions can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or body type.
The charity’s chair told Manx Radio it can be hard to tell when someone is struggling.
Mollie Spiers and Georgie Shelley, both from the charity, spoke to Manx Radio’s Chanelle Sukhoo about the new group and the organisation’s wider work.
Manx Radio did not give a date or venue for the first session.
