Capital International, the Douglas banking and investment group, has welcomed three new recruits from school and university onto its young professional and graduate programme, Isle of Man Today reported.
The scheme, which runs for two years and is now in its third intake, offers young people on the island practical, on-the-job experience across different financial services roles. Trainees move between departments covering areas such as asset management, banking, technology and governance.
This year’s intake is:
- Lowell Jones, who completed A-levels in business studies, economics and history at Ramsey Grammar School this summer and starts with the onboarding team at Capital International Bank
- Noah Gorry, a Lancaster University history graduate, who begins in the dealing and settlements team
- Millie Smith, who graduated in global development from the University of York in 2025 and starts in marketing
Mr Jones, the youngest of the three, said he hoped to find out “where my interests and strengths lie” while building skills and confidence.
Lucy Tickner, the firm’s people and culture adviser, said participants help shape their own path by choosing the departments they want to experience. She described the programme as “an investment in the future of the Isle of Man”.
The firm employs more than 260 people in five offices worldwide.
